USARC Project M 1025 Refresh and Add On Armor

This program was designed to repair/modify RC HMMWV’S to mirror the actual heavy armor HMMWV’S used in the war zone. The training must be made as real as possible before the soldiers are deployed into the war zone. The program requires METS to repair the vehicles to FMC status, upgrade the charging system, perform full annual services, install an air conditioning system, upgrade tires, painting, and install a full armor kit and a GPK (gunner protection kit). 35 Vehicles were completed.
