Milt Martin Prior to joining EG&G, from 2000 -2003, Mr. Martin held the position of Vice President, Business Process Quality for BAE SYSTEMS, North America, a new corporate function requested by the CEO to specifically address the integration and governance of multiple business acquisitions along with streamlining the business processes for the 22,000 person North America operations as well as significant international coordination with the UK headquartered parent organization of BAE SYSTEMS. From 1997-2000, Mr. Martin managed BAE SYSTEMS SI (Systems Integration) business unit while also expanding strategic alliances and supporting acquisition due diligence teams. His primary focus was in the area of mobile C3I systems including the USAF TRV Mobile Air Traffic Control system, the identification of over $900M of high potential systems integration programs, the build of a full scale C-130 flight simulator in 90 days in support of the USAF C-130 AMP pursuit and capture of the USCG Rescue 21 program. Prior to being acquired by BAE SYSTEMS, Mr. Martin held the positions of Vice President Engineering, Programs and Systems Integration at Codar Technology where he led the development of computer and display products for military applications along with the formation of the Systems Integration Division. Notable achievements include development of the first commercially available ruggedized note book computers, mass storage devices and environmentally sealed CRT displays based on COTS technology. These products became the backbone for the US Army CHSII program. Mr. Martin also managed the sale and transition of the Systems Integration Division to BAE Systems. Before joining Codar in 1990, he progressed from design engineer to engineering Group Head at Electrospace Systems, Inc. from 1983-1990. During this period, he participated in the pursuit, capture, design and management of military communications, mobile tactical systems and EMP/NBC hardened systems programs, including program management of their largest single contract along with development of a 100,000 sf manufacturing facility. Mr. Martin started his professional career in the Military Systems Division of Texas Instruments from 1980-1983 as a manufacturing engineer on tactical imagery exploitation systems and the Paveway laser guided bomb. Born at Ft. Jackson, South Carolina, Mr. Martin earned his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia, in 1980.
